Cashless Dangal to Promote Cashless Transaction in Chandigarh

The state government of Haryana is organizing Cashless Dangal for the promotion of Cashless Transaction in Chandigarh. Chandigarh is among the 25 cities that have been picked up for organIsing ‘digi dhan mela’ to promote cashless transactions. So to promote the online payment system Dangal will be organized in Chandigarh.

The Digi Dhan Mela will be held today at Parade Ground in sector 17. The UT deputy commissioner Ajit Balaji Joshi said that it is a better way to promote the cashless transaction than roping in the wrestlers and organizing Cashless Dangal.

Dangal is very popular game in the field of the wrestling in the state Haryana. So the state government is organizing Cashless Dangal and the government has invited wrestlers from Haryana and Punjab for Dangal.

The administration said that 14 wrestlers are participating and seven winners will be awarded by transferring the winning amount in their accounts. The prize money under this Cashless Dangal will go up to Rs. 1 lakh. The administration has invited those wrestlers who have their bank account to send the across the message among masses about cashless transaction.

The cashless Dangal will be organized in the evening at the football ground from 4:30 pm. Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana and 2012 Olympics silver medallist in wrestling, Yogeshwar Dutt, will be present during the event. Cashless Dangal application was launched by the Chandigarh administration, which has been conceptualized and created by Infosys, Chandigarh.

During Cashless Dangal digi pathshala will be put up where people will be trained in cashless transactions. As many as 70 stalls are being put by the banks and various organizations for opening new accounts, Aadhar seeding of accounts, point of sale machine distribution. There will also be a lucky draw under the Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana. Under the draw, scheme merchants and customers would be rewarded for taking to digital payments.
