Jharkhand becomes the first state to start the Ujjawala Yojana as the chief minister Raghuvar Das distributed free gas connections to the BPL families of the state on 20 October 2016.
This scheme was launched by prime minister of the country and Jharkhand is the first state to start this scheme.
Free regulators and free gas stoves are also distribute along with firs free gas refill.
Under PM Ujjawala Yojana Jharkhand the state government will distribute 27 Lac free gas connections to the BPL families of Jharkhand.
Under this scheme the central government will give half amount and half will be given by state government to the beneficiaries.
The government of Jharkhand also becomes the first state to start the scheme Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of kerocine in the accounts of the beneficiaries.
Chief minister of Jharkhand announced that the year of 2017 will be observed as Garib Kaiyan Vars.
There would be many schemes and the programs for the benefits of the poor people under this scheme in 2017.
Das said that is the result of the vision of the central government through which we have helped the BPL families.
The state government of Jharkhand is working to increase the per capita income of the citizens of Jharkhand.
Das announced that the government will also launch the schemes for the development of children.
Under this scheme the students will be skilled by providing them training under Kaushal Sakhi program.
Das said that our main objective to start such schemes is that we want make the poor people so able that they can make their livelihood happy.
