Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahayog Yojna Madhya Prdesh

In the financial year 2010-2011, the Government of India has approved the implementation of Indira Gandhi Maternity assistance Scheme “IGMSY” in 52 districts of the country on an experimental basis. Two districts of Madhya Pradesh – Sagar and Chhindwara have been selected under this scheme.
The scheme has been approved by the Madhya Pradesh Government, Women and Child Development Department on September 24, 2011. The scheme is being implemented by the Anganwadi center in the village through the composition of Integrated Child Development Service Scheme.
The objective of this scheme is to improve the condition of pregnant women and the partial compensation of losses in labor before and after the birth of their child and the health and nutrition status of pregnant and feminine women. In this scheme, pregnant and midwife women 19 years of age or older are eligible for their first two living infants. When the woman fulfilling the prescribed conditions in the plan, at the completion of her child’s 6 months age, the total amount in three installments is Rs. Giving 4,000 / -. Upon completion of the work as an incentive amount, an amount of Rs. 200 / – and Assistant to the amount of Rs. 100 / – are given.
IGMSY in 4,835 Anganwadi centers of 30 Integrated Child Development Projects in Sagar and Chhindwara Districts. Is being operated. In the year 2012-2013, a total of 19,858 beneficiaries have been benefited till December 12, on which the total amount was Rs 8951.32 lakhs.
