Chief Minister launched Mukhyamantri Santwana Yojana to provide the help for road accident victims. The government provide help to 1,844 victims in the district of Dakshina Kannada from 1 April to 30th of September.
The state government provide 25,000 Rupees to the victims of road accident for their treatment in 48 hours of accident at nearest hospitals. Government provide financial help for the people for their better treatment in hospitals.
The lower income group families are not afford their treatment cost due to lack of money. The government provide financial help for treatment to these people.
The government spend Rs. 1.16 crore in the Mukhyamantri Santwana Yojana in 2015-16 to help the accident victims.
The accident victims die due to lack of money and unavailability of treatment, to remove these problems and save the life of accident victims government provide life saving treatment for accident victims and also paid treatment charges of hospitals.
The government provide treatment money on the basis of nationality and domicile of the accident victims.
The government were provided treatment to 618 victims out of 1,844 accident victims in Dakshina Kannada with Rs. 24.98 lac. The government also spend Rs. 91.76 lac on treatment of remaining 1,226 accident victims in private hospitals of the district.
In this scheme government provide better treatment in government and private hospitals to save life of the accident victims.
