Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana gets a huge response in Uttar Pradesh as more than 1.5 lakh applications were received till date. The last date of the submission of application forms was 30th September but then it has been extended to 15 October.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is the scheme which is launched by PM Modi on 25 June 2015 throughout the country But still it is started only in Uttar Pradesh.
The primary objective of this scheme is to provide the affordable houses to the people who are living under the poverty line end who are Economically Weaker Section (EWS) people.
The main objective of this scheme is to provide the affordable houses to the people who are under poverty line and are living in the Low Income Group (LIG). More than 2 crore houses will be constructed up to 2022 under the seven year procedure of this scheme.
The main target of this scheme is for the people who are living in the Low Income Group (LIG) in the urban areas of the country. It is the responsibility of the central government to provide the home shelter to the poor people who are living in the urban areas. This scheme will be completed in the three phases.
In Uttar Pradesh this scheme has been launched by the central government in order to provide the home shelters to the poor people. The last date of the application form of this scheme is 15 october and the state government has received 1 lakh fifty thousand application forms.
The procedure of this scheme will of 7 years in the phases.
- The first phase will be from April 2015 to March 2017 and 100 cities will be covered under this session.
- The second phase will be from April 2017 to March 2019 and 200 more cities will be added.
The last phase will be from April 2019 to 2022 March and rest of the cities will be added in this session.
