The government of India renewed the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana for getting the better result to improve the training and provide more placements for the students. When the trainers get the complete training and achieve the placements then the on-ground efficiency of the scheme is improved. The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship implements the placements and also trying to reduce the assessment and certification time.
When the applicants enrolled itself they also choose 4-5 options of skill training it provide the many opportunities for the employment in the region. Through this step the government ensure the applicants for the better skills and they do not give that type of skill which have no demand in the region.
The Ministry also pay the training cost of the applicants which vary from 7,600 Rupees to 20,000 Rupees per trainer. The official said that the training cost of applicants as an unarmed guard around Rs. 7,600 around 150-200 training hours, and the training around 500 hours for automotive technician cost of Rs. 20,000.
The Union Cabinet relaunched the new version of PMKVY scheme with Rs. 12,000 crore outlay and they targeted 60 lac people for training and certify skills of 40 lac persons in the next four year from July 2016-2020. According to the official data 17.58 lac applicants were placed and only 5.77 lac applicants were certified till April 25 2016.
The government of India built the standardized training centers which name Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras. Till now about 356 training centers have been sanctioned and out of which 13 training centers have already in the operation and 100 training centers under construction. The officials said that they targeted 300 training centers have in operation by march 2017.
