Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Launched in Odisha

The central government started Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) throughout the country.

Recently the central government launched Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) in Odisha on 27 October 2016.

The program of launching this scheme was organized by G. Swaminathan, Chief LPG Manager, Indian Oil Corporation at Pichikuli Panchayat, Bolagad Block, Khurda Disrict on Thursday.

This scheme is one of the beneficial schemes launched by the central government for the women.

The theme of this scheme is ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikaas’. The Nodal Officer explained the details of this scheme in this program.

The LPG Manager of IOC also conveyed the details of soft loan for refill and stove for the women.

It was also declared that there is no middlemen have been appointed to distribute the free LPG connections.

It is also declared that no additional expenses or charges are to be borne by the beneficiaries.

In the launching program of this scheme, the Media Moghul of Odisha state Soumya Ranjan Patnaik founder of Eastern Media Limited attended the program as a Chief Guest.

The chief guest of the program described PMUY as a revolutionary step which is being implemented in the state in a transparent manner.

He also appreciated the step taken by the central government of India in reaching the LPG connections to the BPL families.

This scheme will help the women in cooking in a clean and healthy environment.

He also ensured that there are no agents and middlemen operating and the beneficiaries and the distributers will have customer direct relationship.

During this program the LPG manager also stated that this empowerment of women will also lead to reduction in the consumption of liquor by men folk.

This scheme will help the women to save their health which is being lost by the smoke of firewood.

So it is a beneficial step of the central government for the women of the country.
